Terms & Conditions – Falling Minds

01Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Player," "Participant," or "User") and Falling Minds ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and participation in Falling Minds: Season 1 – Killer Hunt (the "Tournament") and all associated services, including our website and Discord server (collectively, the "Platform").

By clicking "Register," completing payment, logging in via Discord, or otherwise participating in the Tournament in any capacity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register for or participate in the Tournament.

These Terms should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and the official Rulebook, all of which form part of the agreement between you and us.

02Eligibility

To be eligible to register and participate in the Tournament, you must:

Be at least 16 years of age at the time of registration. Participants under 16 are strictly prohibited from entering.
Hold a valid, active Discord account in good standing, not previously banned or suspended by Discord or by Falling Minds.
Provide accurate, truthful, and complete registration information. Any misrepresentation of identity constitutes grounds for immediate disqualification without refund.
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your country of residence.
Not be an employee, contractor, organiser, moderator, or close associate of Falling Minds who has access to privileged game information.

We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any point during the Tournament and to disqualify any participant found to be ineligible, without obligation to refund the registration fee.

03Registration

Participation in Falling Minds: Season 1 is by registration only. The following conditions apply:

Limited Slots: The Tournament is capped at a maximum of 100 players. Registration is offered strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the cap is reached, registration closes automatically and no further entries are accepted.
Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of ₹150 (Indian Rupees) is required to secure your spot. Registration is not considered complete until payment is successfully confirmed.
Confirmation: Upon successful payment and registration, you will receive a confirmation via Discord DM or email. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours of payment, contact us immediately.
Access: Access to game channels, roles, and gameplay materials on the Falling Minds Discord server will be granted only after payment is verified.
Single Registration: Each individual may register only once. Attempting to register multiple times using different identities, email addresses, or Discord accounts is a severe violation of these Terms.

04Account Integrity & One-Account Policy

Falling Minds enforces a strict one-account-per-player policy. This is fundamental to the fairness and integrity of the Tournament.

Each player may maintain only one registered account linked to a single Discord identity. Creating, using, or benefiting from multiple accounts is strictly prohibited.
You must not share your account credentials, Discord login, or game access with any other person. You are solely responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
You must not allow another person to participate on your behalf or make in-game decisions for your account.
If we detect multiple accounts linked to a single individual (whether by IP address, device fingerprint, Discord metadata, payment details, or behavioural analysis), all associated accounts will be permanently disqualified without refund.
You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed by an unauthorised person.

05Gameplay, Conduct & Fair Play

The Tournament is a social deduction game that depends on trust, strategic play, and community engagement. All participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of fair play and conduct.

Prohibited Actions: Cheating of any kind is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to: exploiting bugs, colluding with game administrators, using automated tools or bots, manipulating voting mechanisms, or sharing privileged game information outside of permitted channels.
Respectful Conduct: All participants must treat fellow players, moderators, and organisers with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, discrimination, or abuse of any kind on the Discord server or any associated platform is grounds for immediate removal.
Puzzle & Deduction Integrity: You must complete all puzzle submissions, votes, and game actions independently. Sharing puzzle answers or coordinating votes in ways that violate the game rules is prohibited.
Voting: Votes must be cast using your own legitimately earned points, in accordance with the official Voting System rules. Vote manipulation or coordinated block voting to subvert fair game mechanics is prohibited.
Discord Server Rules: You must comply with all rules posted in the Falling Minds Discord server, including channel-specific rules. These rules may be updated during the Tournament.
Scheduling: Official game activity occurs on Discord between 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST daily. Failure to participate as required may result in elimination or point penalties, as defined by the game rules.

06Payments & Refund Policy

The ₹150 registration fee is processed securely via Razorpay and is subject to the following terms:

Non-Refundable: All registration fees are strictly non-refundable once payment is confirmed, regardless of whether you voluntarily withdraw, are disqualified, or are unable to participate due to personal circumstances.
Non-Transferable: Your registration and associated fee cannot be transferred to another individual or used toward a future season.
Payment Failure: If your payment fails or is declined, your registration is not confirmed. You must attempt payment again to secure your slot. Falling Minds bears no responsibility for payment failures caused by your bank, card issuer, or internet connection.
Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute after successfully participating in the Tournament will be treated as fraud and may result in permanent disqualification from all future Falling Minds seasons.
Technical Cancellation: In the exceptional circumstance that Falling Minds cancels the Tournament entirely before it begins, registered players will receive a full refund of their registration fee. We are not liable for any consequential or indirect losses.

07Prize Pool

The Tournament features a dynamic prize pool governed by the following terms:

Each successful elimination of a hidden Killer ("Shadow") adds ₹1,000 to the prize pool.
Prizes are distributed to players who contributed to Shadow eliminations, with exact distribution methodology announced at the conclusion of Season 1.
Prize eligibility requires that you remain in good standing at the time of the final announcement — disqualified players forfeit any prize claims.
Prize distributions will be processed within 14 days of the Tournament's conclusion via a method agreed upon with winning players.
Falling Minds reserves the right to adjust prize distribution methodology in the event of technical issues, disputes, or extraordinary circumstances, with appropriate notice to affected players.
Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from prize winnings under applicable Indian law.

08Discord Platform

Falling Minds: Season 1 is operated primarily through the Falling Minds Discord server. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

You must join and remain in the official Falling Minds Discord server for the duration of the Tournament.
Discord is a third-party platform, and its availability is outside our control. Falling Minds is not liable for any disruptions caused by Discord outages, maintenance, or policy changes.
You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service at all times. A Discord ban resulting from your own conduct that prevents your participation does not entitle you to a refund.
By joining the server, you consent to receiving game-related messages, notifications, and announcements from Falling Minds administrators and bots.

09Disqualification & Enforcement

Falling Minds reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify any participant at any time, with or without prior notice, for any of the following reasons:

Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorised tools or assistance.
Operating multiple accounts or facilitating another person's multi-accounting.
Sharing privileged game information in violation of the game rules.
Harassment, abuse, threats, or hate speech directed at any participant or staff member.
Providing false or misleading registration information.
Initiating fraudulent payment chargebacks.
Any other conduct deemed by Falling Minds to be harmful to the integrity of the Tournament.

Disqualification results in immediate removal from all game channels, forfeiture of all in-game progress, points, and prizes, and no refund of the registration fee. Disqualification decisions are final and not subject to appeal, except at the sole discretion of the Falling Minds organisers.

10Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and assets associated with Falling Minds: Season 1 – Killer Hunt are the exclusive intellectual property of Falling Minds. This includes, without limitation:

The Falling Minds name, logo, branding, and visual identity.
All game mechanics, puzzle designs, event structures, and rule systems.
All website content, including text, graphics etc.
All Discord server content, including announcements, game materials, and bot configurations.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Falling Minds intellectual property without our express prior written consent.

By participating in the Tournament, you grant Falling Minds a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use your in-game username and game-related activity (including screenshots and vote records) for promotional, documentary, or analytical purposes related to the Tournament.

11Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Falling Minds and its organisers, moderators, administrators, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

Technical Failures: Server downtime, website outages, Discord disruptions, payment gateway failures, or any other technical issues beyond our reasonable control.
Data Loss: Loss of game progress, points, or data resulting from technical errors, unforeseen system failures, or force majeure events.
Third-Party Actions: Actions or omissions by Discord, Razorpay, internet service providers, or any other third party affecting your participation.
Consequential Losses: Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation or inability to participate in the Tournament.

Our aggregate liability to any individual participant shall in no event exceed the registration fee paid by that participant (₹150).

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

12Modifications to Terms & Game

Falling Minds reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms, the game rules, the weekly schedule, and the point/fee structure at any time during the Tournament. When changes are made, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date on this page.
Make an announcement in the official Falling Minds Discord server.

Your continued participation after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept a modification, your only remedy is to withdraw from the Tournament, subject to the no-refund policy stated in Section 6.

In cases where modifications are made to address urgent issues (e.g., security vulnerabilities, discovered cheating, rule exploits), changes may take effect immediately without prior notice.

13Termination & Suspension

Falling Minds may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Tournament and Platform for any violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

Your access to all game channels, materials, and features will be immediately revoked.
All accumulated points, progress, and prize eligibility are permanently forfeited.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
Persistent or egregious violations may result in a ban from all future Falling Minds seasons, identified by your Discord ID, email address, and any known associated identities.

You may voluntarily withdraw from the Tournament at any time by contacting us, but no refund of the registration fee will be issued.

14Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including questions regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith communication between the parties. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

By participating in the Tournament, you waive any right to bring class-action proceedings against Falling Minds. All claims must be brought in your individual capacity only.
